Support After the Build
Every Smart Gardens project comes with follow-up support. If you have a question about plant care, want to report a concern, or need seasonal maintenance, get in touch.
Workmanship Guarantee
All structural and installation work is covered by our 12-month workmanship guarantee. If there is a workmanship issue during that period, we will inspect it and put it right. This covers paving, decking, retaining walls, fencing, and drainage.
Plant Establishment
Plants come with a 3-month establishment guarantee when our watering and care instructions are followed. We select hardy, Irish-suitable species, but if a plant doesn't take, we'll replace it once during the guarantee period.
Seasonal Check-In
We offer a complimentary post-build check-in within the first 6 months. We'll visit your garden, check that everything has settled properly, and give you seasonal care tips relevant to the time of year.
Ongoing Maintenance
If you want help keeping the garden in good order, we offer monthly and seasonal maintenance packages covering lawn care, hedge trimming, planting beds, pressure washing, and lighting checks. View maintenance plans →
Reporting a Concern
If you notice an issue with your completed project, such as drainage, settling, loose materials, or plant failure, please get in touch and we will investigate promptly. Most concerns can be reviewed within a few working days.
How to Report
- Call or email us with a brief description of the issue.
- Send a photo if possible. It helps us assess the issue before visiting.
- We'll schedule an inspection, usually within 3–5 working days.
- If it is covered by our guarantee, we will fix it at no cost.

Seasonal Care Tips
Spring (March–May)
- • Apply a slow-release fertiliser to planting beds
- • Check drainage channels for winter debris
- • Power-wash paving if needed after winter
- • First lawn cut: set blades high initially
Summer (June–August)
- • Water new plantings regularly during dry spells
- • Trim hedges after the nesting season
- • Check outdoor lighting and replace any failed bulbs
- • Keep using the space and keep an eye on anything that needs attention
Autumn (September–November)
- • Clear fallen leaves from paving and drainage
- • Cut back perennials and remove spent growth
- • Apply autumn lawn feed
- • Store or cover outdoor furniture
Winter (December–February)
- • Avoid de-icing salts on natural stone paving
- • Check timber structures for rot or storm damage
- • Prune deciduous trees and shrubs while dormant
- • Winter is a good time to plan spring additions
